“ I don't drink, but I do go here for weekly trivia. It's a small, hometown feel kind of bar, located on the river. Just beer and wine, with in door smoking. Fortunately, the smoke eaters do an excellent job of keeping the air clean. (I am a non smoker). The trivia is fun. It feels much more friendly and engaging than most bar trivia I have been attended. I enjoy my time there. Also there is a food shack with great bbq and fried food offerings, located on same lot, with outdoor seating for both bar and restaurant. It is a great place to drink and snack during the day. ”

“ Okay so I'll preface this with saying, dive bars are one of my favorite settings to experience. Something about the atmosphere. People are encouraged to be themselves, the locals are inviting, and the beers are so damn cheap. We went on a Sunday afternoon to Beer Shed, which is definitely bigger than a shed but makes you feel close to the people as if you were in a shed (in the best way possible). Live music was playing with a band I imagine has been coming there for centuries (yes exaggerating but they were loved), bartenders were doing there thing slinging beer buckets to everyone, and the locals were chatting it up as if they didn't just see each other at the same place last night. How lucky we (my gf and I) were to find and experience this gem of a place. We had such an incredible time!! The bartenders were prompt and friendly. We ordered food from next door which was OUT of this world delicious, surprisingly so. Pulled pork, collard greens, and fries. All 10/10. A few locals introduced themselves to us and offered to share their bucket of beer and bought us a drink! HOW KIND! Not only that, it's right on the Alafia River. Scenery, cheap beer, friendly locals, live music, great food...what more could you ever want?? Check this spot out if you get the chance! ”

We enjoy this place on warm evenings, sitting on their outdoor deck overlooking the Alafia River waiting for the sun to set. Beer, barbecue, family and friends! The Beer Shed is the place! ”

“ The Beer Shed and No Joke Smoke in Riverview is the best Dive Bar and food combo around. The Beer Shed has great cold beer at very fair prices while No Joke Smoke provides delicious food. Under new recent ownership, NJS has upgraded the menu to include great brisket dishes along with super chicken and pulled pork tacos. Enjoy great beer and fantastic food right along the river with beautiful views. The Beer Shed also has great live music many nights a week along with trivia nights and other activities. The beer is always cold and the ladies behind the bar are friendly and quick with the refills. Great beer at the Shed and fantastic food at neighboring No Joke Smoke. Local folks, and boaters pulling right up to the restaurant dock and special parking for motorcycles out front. The food is great, the beer is cold and the view of the river is the awesome. We bring the whole family and sit outside, (smoking permitted in The Beer Shed). Great local hidden gems, The Beer Shed and No Joke Smoke! ”

“ Amazing. This place is so underrated. The beer is cold and cheap. The food next door is yummy and cheap. And the fact that it's right on the river is so nice. We enjoyed our pitchers and watching the boats go by on the river. I could spend hours here! A great dive bar inside and a ton of seating outside. Some in the shade and some in the sun. There is a spot for everyone. You can also pull your boat up so anyone coming from the water can stop by and enjoy a great brew. The service was great too. The bartenders were cheery and friendly. GO TO THIS PLACE NOW! it's the best! ”

“ A great hidden gem on the Alafia River!! If you love dive bars this is your place!! We love this place. Great ice cold beer at cheap prices. The locals are so welcoming and have even recognized us outside of here. Nice bar right on the river. If you have a boat, pull that thing up and come in for a couple drinks. The one thing we haven't done yet is try to food shed that's right next door. You can go over and order food and they will bring it to you. I recommend if you haven't been here, please stop by. You won't be disappointed!! This is a must stop if you are in the Tampa area. Enjoy the river, the great prices and the locals from the trailer park. They will welcome you as long as you aren't a a-hole!!! Great prices, great people and always a great time here!! ”
